“One thing I’ve noticed in this line of work is how many of the Ancients’ left-behinds also have some means to deter intruders. Why would they lock these places up so tight before disappearing without a trace? Was their society simply so paranoid or dangerous they felt the need for such defenses on everything they built? Or did they plan on coming back someday, and sealed up their grand wonders as you might lock your door before going on a trip?"
